Douche was purchased with the view to become an International vaulting horse but sadly his temperament made this difficult. He did carry a vaulter as an Individual but found the whole experience rather stressful.
He came with stunning paces and a very mixed up head. He was afraid of his own shadow and nearly everything else you could think of. The Parelli seven games helped him a lot and he began to trust us.
He could be described as a right brain Introvert with high energy. We spent two years taking him back to basics and getting good results. We affiliated him for dressage, had him downgraded and entered his first competition. Four days before this he jumped out of the lorry on to concrete and fractured his pedal bone!!!
A year later he was back in work but Kathryn decided to take him showing. He was much admired but the gallops blew his brains. Back to the drawing board.
Unfortunately we have found him too much for most clients for lessons but a good rider would have some fun on him.
His big love now is Horse Agility and to see him with a young girl with 2 feet in the hula hoop so relaxed brings tears to the eyes.
